Relax and enjoy Holden Beach Backwater Fishing Adventures with Captain Keith Logan. Soak up the scenery and seclusion that Holden Beach and the Carolina's Coast has to offer. Fishing the Intracoastal waterways, creeks, and Inshore Ocean out to 3 miles. For over 30 years I've been fishing the local waters from Cape Fear River NC to Myrtle Beach S.C. that offer some great fishing for Trout, Reds, Flounder, and much more.
I update my fishing report often so check back to see what we have been catching. Please contact me to fish Holden Beach and the Brunswick County beaches. We also fish out of Little River South Carolina and the Horry County Beaches.

The Boat
The 22' Kenner Bay boat is an excellent all around boat. It is powered by a 150 Mercury Optimax outboard. It is equipped with two live wells, Minn Kota trolling motor, GPS and fish finder. There is plenty of cushioned seating for family and friends. It is a fisherman's boat with amenities that make it family friendly. It is very smooth, quiet, dry ride with the capability to get you where the fish are whether it is in the shallows of the Carolina's Coast area bays and creeks or nearshore artificial reefs and live rock bottoms. We can fish for Red Drum, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Gray Trout, Whiting, Black Sea Bass, Spanish and King Mackerel, Cobia, Sharks, and more.
Fishing Charters
Half Day, Full Day, and Night fishing charters are available in the fall for trout . But if your interest isn't fishing perhaps a little Seafood Charters or Sight Seeing Charter.
Saltwater Light Tackle Fishing Charters: Depending on the tides and season, we will fish for Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, and Bluefish in the coastal backwater creeks where our estuary will give you a unique perspective of the area. On this Holden Beach Backwater experience we will use either live bait or artificial lures that I provide for you. This is a "hands on" Holden Beach Backwater fishing trip where each angler will cast and hold their rod and reel. I only use high quality tackle, Shimano spinning reels and rods. Because of the personal nature of these charter adventures, 1 - 4 adult anglers only Max of 6 people with Children
Seafood Charters
We offer a unique seafood charter for those who are looking to catch a variety of seafood such as clams, crabs, and various types of popular fish. Participants especially children, enjoy using the different types of fishing gear. Species we may catch: Blue Crab, Stone Crab Claws, Trout, Drum, Flounder, Clams, Conch, Shrimp, Whiting, Spots, Croaker Soft Shell Crab and Oyster when in season. Up to 4 Adult 6 people max with Children.
Children are definitely welcome on my charters and I can customize your fishing trip for all ages and skills levels if needed.
You supply the desire and I supply the equipment and expertise; rods, reels, bait, tackle and fishing licenses. I keep a camera on board for that great catch. Remember to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for the Carolina sun. Will also want to bring sodas, water, light snacks for the day.
We pick up from Old Ferry Seafood in Holden Beach NC, Bluewater Point Marine in Oak Island NC, Wildlife boat ramp in Ocean Isle Beach NC and the Wildlife Boat ramp under hwy 17 bridge in Little River SC.
Seasons
Fishing the Inshore waters surrounding Holden Beach is just about a year long event because of warm, pleasant weather.
Flounder, Bluefish and Red Drum begin to show up in Tidal Creeks in the Spring. This is a great time for Light Tackle Creek Fishing. As days become longer and warmer, fish begin to move to our Waterway, Creeks, Inlets and Near Shore Wrecks.
June thru August is our busiest season for vacationers and there are plenty of fish to catch. Spanish Mackerel school by the thousands on Inlet Shoals during the summer months. Flounder are in the Creeks and Inlets.
Fall fishing is definitely the best time of the year for Inshore fishing. Large Red Drum migrate to our Waterway and Inlets feeding on massive schools of mullet. Spot fishing is very popular October thru November and make for a great fish dinner.
Late Fall and Mid Winter, Red Drum and Speckled Trout inhabit creek mouths and are easily caught with artificials.
Disclaimer: We are not responsible for items that may get wet or broken and request you keep all cameras and phones in a water proof bag until ready to be used.
